MAVERICK Appoints New Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Global Business Unit
Columbia, Ill., August 19, 2008 — MAVERICK Technologies, a global engineering, systems integration and operational consulting firm, announced two internal promotions today. Jim Ford, formerly the director of advanced automation solutions, has been promoted to director of strategic initiatives for the global business unit. Chad Harper, formerly staff APC engineer, is now manager of advanced automation solutions for the global business unit. Both will report directly to Mark Hall, vice president of the global business unit.
In his new role, Jim Ford will assist Hall with identifying and developing strategic relationships with MAVERICK’s global clients in the areas of process technology and advanced process control. He will provide internal and external process consulting expertise in the areas of refining and petrochemicals. He will also oversee and develop MAVERICK’s business in South America, including identifying local business partners, resources and business opportunities.
Likewise, Chad Harper will assume responsibility for day-to-day management of the advanced automation solutions group. He will also assist in developing new business for the group and expanding the scope of its offerings. The new position will leverage Harper’s knowledge of advanced process control, related technologies and project management capabilities to the benefit of MAVERICK and its clients.

MAVERICK formed its global business unit in 2006 to support its worldwide main automation contractor initiatives. Its three primary U.S. centers of operation are located in Columbia, Ill.; Houston, Texas; and Baton Rouge, La. Through its worldwide offices and global partners, MAVERICK’s international operations include the Americas, Europe, Africa / Middle East and Asia / Pacific.
